Booklovers takes a holiday for 2012 and will return new & improved in 2013 with film!
A unique holiday of books, good food, conversation and relaxation. Near Banyoles & Girona with guest speakers.
Based in a beautiful baronial mansion with a swimming pool.

The venue is a huge, 16th century stone farmhouse; carefully renovated with en-suite bathrooms, 3 floors and lots of space. There is a beautiful covered terrace that overlooks the swimming pool - both with views down the green valley.
Booklovers is like a cross between a luxury poolside holiday and a a literary festival. Each year we have great guest speakers and good food & wine. Come along and enjoy a holiday in good company. Ideal for singles as well as those coming along with friends or as a couple. The week is entirely flexible, and we have a day off.

Booklovers is a real, relaxing holiday in Catalonia. Come and meet people, talk, enjoy fantastic food and try local wines, or do your own thing - some guests bring along their paint and easel. Your host and chef, Lee who has been running 7daywonder holidays since 2003 and cooking "great food" will be on hand and chairs the daily book discussions. "We'll start with the book of the day and then with a bit of gentle guidance let the group decide where they want the conversation to go... we'll try and keep it bookish - but who knows where we might end up..."
But don't forget, none of this is compulsory. If you want to talk about your favourite book, or your life-changing book or even your worst book... feel free... you're here to relax, open a book, doze by the pool... enjoy... the week is stress free. It's simply like being on holiday with friends in a great place.
