A perfect short break near Girona in Spain's undiscovered Catalonia. Recuperate from the dark days of winter and spend time in this verdant and desirable area. The holiday is fully catered with homecooked gourmet food and good wine.

You will be based in the peaceful forested hills of Garrotxa where you can get some winter sunshine and take gentle walks in the hills and forests. There will be a meet the author session, a Spanish civil war tour and morning book group discussions. In the evenings fantastic fireside suppers.

Treat yourself in February, meet new people and bring your favourite books to discuss or a story to share. There will be chance to see Besalu, Banyoles and Girona. You may have written something yourself which will be welcome in this informal weekend of stories, conversations and the good things in life, or simply you'd like a weekend away in the sunshine to relax in comfort.

We have built a reputation for healthy high quality food which is your opportunity to enjoy Catalan cuisine with others and sample some of Spains newest critically acclaimed wines.

Everything is optional. You might just want a relaxing break in good company!

(Don't forget vegetarians and other special diets are always cared for with us.)

The venue is a 16th century stone Catalan masia (or country house). Recently renovated to a high standard, it is in one of the most beautiful regions of Spain. The Garrotxa region is the woodland foothills of the Pyrenees in northern Catalonia, Spain.
